  • 4 cups black beans, drained
  • 4 potato buns
  • 4 cups seasoned breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup diced onions
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp. chili powder
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon ground pepper
  • 4 ounces BBQ sauce
  • Lettuce and tomato slices to garnish
  • 1 tsp. salt


  1. In a medium bowl, mash the black beans into a thick paste
  2. Add the breadcrumbs, onions, and garlic to food processor and finely chop
  3. Add breadcrumbs to black beans and stir in the chili powder, eggs, salt, and pepper
  4. Once the mixture is sticky, shape into 4 even sized burger patties
  5. Place patties over direct heat for 4-5 minutes per side
  6. Prepare buns with favorite condiments before placing burger patties on buns
  7. Enjoy!
