Maple & Bourbon Ribs
Here’s some low and slow ribs that combine the sweet flavor of maple with bourbon to create an amazing and unforgettable rack of ribs.

INGREDIENTS
Ribs:
- 2 racks of St. Louis style ribs
- 1 bottle of BBQ sauce
- 1/2 cup of bourbon
- 1/2 cup maple syrup
- 2 cups seasoning (see below)
For the seasoning, use:
- 1 cup of light brown sugar
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1 tsp. paprika
- 1 tbsp. salt
- 1 tbsp. garlic powder
PREPARATION
- Using natural lump charcoal, get it started in your charcoal chimney
- Soak a hand full of Charcoal Apple Wood Smoking Chips in some water for 10-15 minutes
- Combine seasoning ingredients
- Peel off the membrane on the bony side of the ribs
- Using the rub, season the ribs liberally on both sides
- Move your charcoal to one side of grill and place wood chips on top
- Place ribs on opposite cold side of grill over indirect heat and let them smoke at ~225 to 250 Fahrenheit for 3 hours. You’ll need to regularly watch the temperature and add more charcoal and wood chips as needed
- Pull ribs off grill and place inside tin foil
- Glaze both sides of the ribs with your bbq sauce, maple syrup & bourbon
- Wrap them with foil and place back on the grill for another 2.5 hours at the same temperature
- Remove from grill and allow to cool for several minutes
- Pull ribs off and try to stay clean enjoying them!
